Fixed model tensioners are available as single stage, for vertically limited spaces, multi-stage for diametrically limited spaces, in standard sizes (studs diameters less than 6”), and for large stud diameters.  Fixed model tensioners can be standard or spring return.

How to operate a fixed model stud tensioner

The Bridge and Nut Rotating Socket are placed over the nut and threads the Load Cell Housing onto the stud. The Stud Tensioner is then connected to the Hydraulic Pump, via High-Pressure Hydraulic Hoses with Quick-Disconnect (QD) fittings. The Hydraulic Pump supplies high-pressure hydraulic oil to the Tensioner Load Cell, producing an accurate axial tension that stretches the stud. When the pump reaches a pre-set pressure, the operator uses a small bar to tighten the nut by hand. The operator then removes the Stud Tensioner and the process is complete.
