Applications of Large Diameter Stud Tensioners
HTI's standard tensioners are made for studs up to 4" / M100 in diameter. HTI also makes tensioners (and hydraulic nuts) for stud diameters larger than 4" / M100. Our largest application to date has been for a M425 (16.7") buttress-thread stud.
A typical application for very large stud diameter hydraulic tensioners is on a large forging press.
