Coatings Options for Hydraulic Nuts

Coatings

The standard coating for hydraulic tensioners and nuts is a hot black oxide (on 4140 alloy steel).

The following additional coating options are available:

  • Xylan coating for corrosion resistance and low friction
  • Anodizing on aluminum products
  • Nitriding on 17-4 stainless steel for surface hardness and galling resistance
  • Hot dip galvanizing
  • Black phosphate for corrosion resistance
