Tensioner Overstroke Indicator and Stop
Hydraulic tensioning is the ideal method for tightening bolted connections. Hydraulic tensioning eliminates inaccuracies and helps achieve correct bolt loading in critical connections. At HTI, we’ve been building hydraulic tensioners and nuts since 1986.
HTI tensioners come with an overstroke indicator and overstroke protection.
Overstroke protection means that you will be prevented from extending the stroke past the safe level.
The overstroke indicator provides a visual indication when you have reached the stroke limit.
If the hydraulic gauge pressure is not yet at the level to provide the proper tension, then another tensioning cycle will be required. You accomplish this by tightening the nut on the stud, releasing the system pressure, screwing the reaction nut or load cell farther down on the stud, and re-tensioning.
