Stroke is the amount that a stud (or bolt) can be stretched when a load is applied. The size of the stud, it’s length (longer studs require more stroke) and the stud material specifications determine how much deflection is required to achieve the target load.
Our long-stroke tensioners offer longer strokes than the standard designs. HTI has produced tensioners with a stroke of 6”, but there is no practical limit on how many strokes a tensioner can have.
